Positions Open
We are interested in motivated, creative, and independent individuals who want to join our team. The Lois lab uses a number of different approaches to study brain circuits, including genetics, molecular biology, electrophysiology, neuroanatomy, behavioral analysis, and functional imaging. Fully funded postdoctoral and graduate student positions are available immediately. Applicants should have a background in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Cell Biology, or electrophysiology. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of academic achievement, be highly motivated, and work well with others.
GRADUATE STUDENTS
Prospective students must be admitted into a Caltech graduate degree program, including (but not limited to) Biology, Bioengineering, Computation and Neural Systems, and Neurobiology. More information on Caltech's graduate options can be found here. Prospective students are encouraged to contact Carlos early in the process by sending a cover letter describing their scientific background and their scientific interests.
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWS
We have funded positions available for postdoctoral fellows with prior expertise in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Cell Biology, or electrophysiology as evidenced by a consistent record of publication. Interested candidates should send Carlos a CV (including publications), contact information for three references, and a cover letter describing past research accomplishments and motivation for wanting to join our team.
